Prints from the Darkroom

Every print available here begins the same way, a film negative, a developing tank and the immersive process of darkroom printing. The end product is an archival silver gelatin print on fibre-based paper. It is crafted by hand through these timeless and time-tested techniques that push the artist to embrace experimentation, “mistakes” and the unexpected. Most prints are toned with selenium to enhance their archival stability. The creation of the print is just the end of one long journey and the beginning of a new one on display as it is seen and reinterpreted by fresh eyes over the years.
